Coming up:

Sunday 28 September 12:00-20:00, Oude Leliestraat 5-3, Amsterdam

Summer is over, tourists are leaving and so am I. Goodbye neighbours, goodbye strangers.

I am moving houses and saying goodbye with a 1day work. An installation & audio piece on the facade of the house titled ‘Bye bye, tot ziens’.

The Oude Leliestraat is short, but rarely empty. Many people pass by on their way from the Dam Square to the Jordaan. A polyphony of languages leaked into my bedroom window daily. Through six chutes from the third-floor windows, farewells in the many languages of them strolling through Oude Leliestraat will echo on September 28th. These chutes don't transport trash, but are used as speakers to amplify the audio, with the voices of those who have already left the street, on their way to a next destination.
